Frequently asked questions
- What does a photography session cost?
- An hour in the studio on a weekday costs £30. After that you will likely want to purchase prints (starting at £2.49) of a CD of all the images for £50. See the full price list for details.
- Do you provide a slide-show CD?
- No, we don't see much value in a sideshow CD with very low resolution images or watermarking. Instead we send you a contact sheet by email where you can select images for editing and make a CD of full-resolution images available for only £50.
- How long will it take to get my prints?
- Delivery time for standard prints is typically 2-3 days.
- Why do you only edit 20 images as standard?
- We believe in quality over quantity! Image editing is a manual process where care is taken to get the best result out of each individual image, which of course takes time. 20 images usually represents a good selection from an our-long photo-session but you can order more edits. See the image editing page for more details.
- What equipment do you use?
- We use the latest professional cameras and lenses from Nikon for our digital work, including D700 full-frame cameras and the following lenses: 24-70mm F2.8, 70-200 F2.8, 50mm F1.4 and 85mm F1.4. For film work we use medium format Mamiya 645AFD and RZ67 cameras. Our studio is equipped with a range of backdrops and professional studio lighting from Bowens with a variety of light modifiers.
